This is a Notice of Intent to Issue Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) no. DE-FOA-0003425; titled Aligning Manufacturability & Pre-production Design (AMPD) for Storage Technologies. The Department of Energy (DOE) intends to issue a FOA seeking applications for financial assistance awards to facilitate innovative energy storage technology material, subcomponent, component, or system design to improve the manufacturability of one or more energy storage technologies by reducing the overall technology production cost relative to an estimated baseline. Identifying and implementing design innovations will align pre-production storage system design to set the stage for manufacturing scale up.
